Portland Iron Works began operations in the Northwest part of Portland, Oregon in an area known as slab town because of the numerous sawmills during the 1800's. In 1999, the owners of New Venture Mfg. and Service, Inc., established in 1982, purchased the assets of Mid-Oregon Industries and Portland Iron Works, and moved the operations from Bend to Portland, Oregon.

New Venture has proven over the past 25 years that it knows the parts business. New Venture has been supplying replacement parts for Portland Iron Works since 1984, and Mid-Oregon with parts since 1991. For more information on New Venture Mfg., please visit our Services page. 

The original Mid-Oregon product line has been reviewed and improved, and we are continually adding new products to an already impressive product line.
